This fingerprint reader works very well once set up, but it requires a little extra effort to get it working. Most USB devices are plug-and-play, which means that when you connect the device to your computer, the necessary drivers are automatically installed without any additional effort. However, this device requires you to go to the manufacturer's website and install it manually. Sure, it's an easy process for someone with minimal computer skills, and there's a manual in the box, but it's a somewhat unnecessary step that could have been avoided. Once setup is complete, however, the fingerprint reader works flawlessly, allowing me to log into my computer from almost any angle with a quick, light touch (assuming you move your finger correctly during Windows Hello setup). Very good value for money. I am a cybersecurity professional and I highly recommend that everyone invest in a fingerprint scanner or other biometric login device instead of a password to protect their devices.
