Welds make phone cases with screen protectors fog up, and if you have a tempered glass screen protector, beads of sweat can seep under the screen and badly affect the haptics - like a stuck key on a keyboard. Rather than just looking through a bunch of cases, I figured this might be another option. When I tried it I came to two conclusions: Yes, it protects the case, but it makes every phone feel like a small tablet. As I worked on the size, I began to get used to the extra protection and found it useful. Although I can't say I've ever enjoyed it. But if you've ever received a text message or an alert while you're sweating, picking up your phone and tilting your head to let sweat drip onto the screen, then you know what a pain it is. Nothing will work until you flush the water. Alternatively, it's awkward to position your body and phone so you don't drip onto the phone. I tested this case in the water and it makes your phone float. I'm not sure if this overview is as helpful as I think it is, but obviously it's not a perfect solution, although workable. If you're using it for a trip to the beach or whatever, it's beneficial for a couple to keep it free of sand, fingers with sunscreen, and no risk of damage when tossed in a beach bag. In my experience, this is much better than a zipped bag or any of the heavy-duty bags available. I think the bottom line is that if you need it, it's a good solution, but not a perfect solution.
