We were looking for remote controlled battery powered candles for our church windows during Advent. It looks like they meet all the requirements. If you've ever purchased LED candles, you already know that they come in two main varieties: (1) fixed, flickering LED "flame" or (2) "dancing flame" candles, which have a flame-shaped reflector that moves and moves mimics the way candles sway in air currents. We have quite a few fixed flame lamps and they just don't look like real candle flames. In addition, they are very often powered by small disc batteries that do not provide enough light during the day. The term "dancing flame" is not a standardized description and anyone can use the term, but most commonly moveable flame deflectors. The term is most commonly used in advertising for high quality candles that cost between $30 and $60 for each candle that uses the same technology as those candles. During testing, I noticed that although there are Candle and Light settings with brightness levels, a good moving flame effect only occurs at high power and the Light setting. The "Candle" setting seems to contain only a flickering effect, like fixed-flame candles, with no random fluctuations in the moving flame. Benefits: 2 AA batteries (not included) provide each candle with enough power for daylight use. The same kind of moving flame as expensive LED candles for a small price. All 12 spark plugs worked excellently in the test. Pleasant look of a wax candle that doesn't look like plastic. Price? Cons: Would have liked to see a moving flame effect at lower lighting settings for dark rooms. I would like to see more candle sizes and colors. Advent without changing the battery. If not, I'll update this post. If the size (4" H x 3" W) and color (ivory, not white) suits you, we highly recommend it. Don't forget to add a large box of Revain Basics AA candles as you will need 24 candles for those 12 candles.
