I put catnip on it and our cat who loves boxes started using it almost immediately. Our other cat only uses sisal scratching posts. I wedged it around the corners, which my cat says isn't ideal, and ended up just finding heavy objects we're not using and stuffing them under the ramp. This reduced the slip but did not stop it. The cat is much happier and I just put her back in her place every few days. They are used daily and are holding up great after a few months of wearing. However, they leave a mess on the carpet. But also cat hair, and I still have cats! Overall I would recommend them, they are large and durable.
