Two bags ordered. One for the daughter and one for the son. The next day I went and monogrammed it, but when it was done I found that the zipper doesn't rip when this bag is closed on the left side. I remind my son by attaching a red x keychain to this zipper so he remembers to pull the other one to close the bag. This is a good bag and the design is nice. but since I received it monogrammed I assumed I couldn't return it or ask for a refund. If you buy packages and they arrive in the mail, check them carefully before using them. I understand zippers are tricky but I should have checked beforehand and right now I don't have the money for a monogram and a decent working bag. We've been using it since the start of the 2021 school year and they've stood the test of time. Notebooks happen to tie pencils l, but the zipper just doesn't fit.
