Case offers good protection. My phone survived a fall of about 3 feet onto concrete when I accidentally knocked it off my hip while greeting someone with a hug. But the clip on the holster is not very strong. I just holstered my phone and the clip that was supposed to hold it just came loose rendering the holster useless. In addition, without a protective shield you get little protection for the camera, since the camera part protrudes from the housing.
