The cord is very elastic but strong. It definitely doesn't look like thread used as sewing thread. I have found that the darker strands are too thick for some of my beads while the lighter ones like pink and yellow work well as they should. I tie this thread as tightly as I can after gathering my last few beads (making sure to stretch the threads from all sides - from the threads I'm pulling and the threads on the bracelet itself) around it to keep in place. . I didn't use any glue and after a week everything is holding up well. My husband tried to take it apart but it still stretched when there were no beads. I think if my bracelet ever breaks from pulling, it's the knot and not the thread itself, it's that strong.
