I carry this little camera with me all the time and it still works very well after years of frequent use. I mainly use it to upload pictures of art and antiques to the web. It's more than enough for this task and is very easy to use. (I use a universal card reader, no cables.) Don't expect 50MP quality footage. But with holiday photos and Co. you get along well. You must store it in a soft case to avoid damage. It also drains batteries quickly. This annoyed me at first, but now I keep extras in my camera bag. It's cheaper to replace AA batteries in the field than other alternatives. I recommend this camera for everyday use and for getting started with digital photography.
