Braun previously used a different foil sample. The original foil of my razor had a regular pattern of holes in the shape of a polygon. This foil has holes of various shapes and sizes arranged in a more random pattern around a central hole. This replacement shaves closely, but only when the hair is already very short. He will miss every slightly longer hair. In addition, shaving takes longer than with the previous foil and does not shave more thoroughly. If you have a shaver that uses this foil I suggest you complain to Braun customer service about the change in foil type.
