Review on MSI Pulse GL76 I7 12700H RTX3070 by Janis Endzelins ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

A good laptop, because I am a developer and I am running Linux, it was important that all hardware work under the current version of the kernel. What I want to say is that everything works except for controlling the backlight of the keyboard (but this is garbage, as the community gives birth to a driver, I will simply turn it off). About games - under the proton on ultra cyberpunk (55-60 fps), doom eternal (130-140 fps), which is simply gorgeous. About the general feeling - the layout is just chic, the exhaust is on the left side and does not burn the hand on the mouse with hellish breath, and the charging connector is also on the left. Solid plastic, well assembled, it doesn’t creak anywhere, it doesn’t groan, it looks cool, they wrote here about the fact that it gets dirty easily, well, somehow you don’t need pasties for a laptop and everything will be fine. About the internals - on the MSI website, the specification says the maximum RAM is 64 GB, but the kernel writes to me max 32 GB, I admit that under Windows it will start at 64 GB, but I plan to cram 32 of this is quite enough for comfortable work and games. About the battery - well, 2.5 hours with 70% screen backlight and 3060 turned off, but I didn’t expect more from it, the laptop is still gaming. Conclusion: a very adequate offer for its price, I am satisfied with the purchase. firewood 470 for 3060, on demand mode works fine, no problems, everything got out of the box (52022.0-25-generic #26-Ubuntu).

Pros
  • Good assembly, layout, adequate price, no OS
Cons
  • There are no drivers for the Mystic Light 1563 keyboard, OpenRgb 0.7(stable) does not know this keyboard.
