I was looking for bikini bottoms with a ruched front that would regulate the tummy. I'm 158 lbs and 5'9 and wear a size 10 women's shorts/large panties. I'm a medium size in these shorts because I know they can come loose in the water. Medium size is great. Closure at front and back. Gathering at the front hides things and adds design. The side ties are a great addition so you can tighten them up if you want to show off more of your body.
