If you need something to record conversations - you know, when a sneaky plumber or a sly worker shows up - look no further; Olympus Pearlcorder S701 is what you need. I've had one for a few years now and it still works perfectly. You can put it in your pocket and pick it up from there. He keeps the conversation going well; You can hear what people are talking about pretty clearly; I'm impressed that the voice recorder in my pocket is capable of this. All basic functions work perfectly - fast forward, rewind etc. Everything about this recorder is more than satisfactory and it is easy to use. I was going to give this 5 stars and say the price is reasonable, but I see the price has gone up $10 since I bought it 2 years ago, so I'm downgrading my rating. I don't consider this a "BIG" buy anymore - 5 stars - at $35, but it's a good buy - 4 stars -.
