I was expecting this adapter to display my phone on my external monitor as I bought it to pair with the Feelworld FW279 7- Inch monitor to use the DJI Osmo Action to watch videos. The Osmo Action doesn't have a video output, but it can be viewed on my phone via the DJI app. I had two options for outputting my phone to the monitor. 1) Use a Miracast device. . Miracast works but requires USB power. Some 7" monitors have power out, but the FW279 doesn't, so I needed an HDMI to USB-C cable THAT WAS NOT 3 FEET LONG! rzunimag. This cable is exactly what I wanted and more. I just tested this adapter and was shocked to see that my phone turned into a touchpad and the monitor turned into a computer desktop, it was a desktop! This adapter turned my phone and FW279 into a CHROMEBOOK! This is way better than I expected; However, I need to change the screen timeout setting on the phone because the external monitor does not receive an HDMI signal when it is turned off and the screen goes blank. A small problem that does not appreciate the loss of a star. Very happy with this purchase!
