If you think sticking your fingers in your ears means noise cancellation, then I think you do. They don't even take a noise-canceling battery. I have headphones that work really well but they can't communicate. Even if you forget the lack of noise reduction; The sound quality is poor, they're bulky and don't fit well, and there are cables everywhere. I'm sending mine back for a refund.
