Not rustproof.
I bought it on purpose because it says it's made of stainless steel. Both my partner and I cannot wear plated jewelry as we eat through it and are allergic to base metals. It is not stainless steel as advertised. It's something covered in something and this peeling occurred within a few weeks making it unwearable and a complete waste. The chain looks like steel because it hasn't been driven through or pulled off.
