Review on Whitmor Over The Door πŸ‘  Shoe Rack - White, Holds 24 Pairs by Frank Chinchilla

easy construction; Door handle Call

Assembly was easy. All I did was fit three molded plastic pieces together to form a vertical column on each side; Insert horizontal metal bars into cylindrical "pockets" along the vertical posts; and hang each jamb on the metal hooks above the door. Then once the shelf was attached to the door, I added adhesive Velcro at two points on each jamb where they should be. their pockets; I could just slide them into place with my hands (and I'm a woman of medium height and strength, not the Hulk). Additionally, the connection points between the three plastic pieces of each strut have been bent to prevent incorrect or misconnection. It was well constructed and as reliable as possible. I've been using my shoe rack multiple times a day for the past three weeks and it hasn't fallen apart. The arrangement withstands frequent opening and closing of the door. When I open the door with unusual force, the bottom velcro straps on the outer pillar come loose, but that's about it. The top velcro straps on the right and left columns no longer touch, I think due to the weight of the shoe pulling the tray outwards and sagging slightly. This does not affect the functionality. My only problem with this product was fitting it into my narrow (27-5/8" door) with the doorknob in the way! My doorknob was made for young children or those with arthritis: it's not a turning handle, the ones Requires strong grip, but more of a lever you just push. It took 6-7/8" the width of my door. I ended up just buying a cheap door knob that only took up 3-1/2" the width of my door and installing it in place of a handle. Buying a pipe cutter and trimming the metal rods I saw mentioned by other customers and put them in considered.
