hello I use velcro with ring clips on the ends to wrap large and small items. You pull the strap through the ring and attach the Velcro. However, the problem with these types of straps is that if the item is smaller than the length of the Velcro area, you will have to wrap the strap several times in order for the Velcro to fit. Now you can wrap it tightly around the cord with this new Velcro to keep it attached to the cord. Then twist your rope or leash and when you're done, the velcro stays in place every time. If you have the original male/female velcro, stick the adhesive end to the surface and this product is easy to apply. This is a great product. You can't go wrong with Velcro. Update: April 2013: After I finished this first Velcro roll, I ordered more. This product has countless uses and I keep finding more and more. It's not a sticky back, but it should wrap around itself. transport and carry a long hose? clean and orderly. hold PVC pipes together? Perfect. Finally, with this type of Velcro, it is easy to place rope lines anywhere. Coil the rope, wrap the velcro once, overlap and make a longer loop where you want to attach the coiled rope.
