When I received the system, I checked the NVR and all 8 cameras first. A camera is out of service. They sent me a brand new system and I sent the first one back. No problem. Ideal! I then installed the system professionally and had no problems other than getting the system up and running on my PC. Worked great on the monitor and on our iPhones. Easy navigation, camera view, good night vision, star motion detection and all that. But for the average "mere mortal" it was a bit difficult to get the system working on a PC. Tried, but couldn't do it myself. Chat with a support agent "Nicole". It's nice to deal with people who know a lot about the business! She was incredibly patient with me, connected remotely to my computer, took my hand and everything worked. I would give the system 5 stars if there wasn't one thing. The system allows you to download video fragments in MP4 format to a USB device. That's what I do on a semi-regular basis. The problem is that I can't import these mp4 files into my video editor (never had problems with other mp4 files). I found that if I convert them with my video converter (mp4 to mp4) I can import the results into my video editor. It's not a big problem, but I shouldn't be doing this.
