My wife gave me a Bosh Universal Plus a few years ago to replace my old mixer that I used to make dough with. The problem is that the dough rises up the column and is not kneaded properly. For Thanksgiving, I made buns out of 1 pound flour and made a very moist, soft dough. This is usually a pain in bosh and I knead by hand. Another option was to add more flour to make the dough stiffer, that works but the texture of the buns was wrong. There was no problem with the test hook extension. quite, even with such a small ball of dough. I've used the thinner with up to 2 1/2 pounds of flour and it worked great. I agree with other reviews it should come with a blender but as they say it works great and deserves a 5 star rating. Note: 1/1/2016 I've been using the dough hook extender for a month now and it really helps train for all the holiday meals. I can't say enough good things. If you have a Bosch universal mixer and you bake bread, this attachment is a must. loaf. As many have noted, making small batches of dough or high moisture content dough without the dough hook extender that gets the results perfect was frustrating at best.
