I didn't know what to expect from this video recording device. But when it showed up, I plugged it into my computer to try it out. The installation was a little tedious, I couldn't find the drivers online and the computer I want to use doesn't have a CD drive to copy the driver files. I had to fiddle with another computer to copy the contents of the CD. on my machine, but after getting the driver files, this little gadget installed without any problems on Windows 10 x64. The included ArcSoft software is also significantly better than I expected. It installed easily and I recorded some old VHS-Cs by connecting a VCR to the VCR's component RCA jacks. The video quality of my videos is very good - in my case the limiting quality is the original medium. The included ArcSoft software did a great job with the minor edits I needed to make and allowed me to finally have a digital backup of my family's old home recordings.
