Light colors get dirty

I bought a light green bracelet and I really liked it, but it started getting dirty and turning brown. The green color was very attractive. The strap is well made and holds up. I have used a lightweight mirrorless camera with this strap and would not use it with my full frame and heavier camera. The strap is thin enough. Now I've bought a rich brown dark brown ribbon and will try to wash and clean the green one.
