This is what you would expect. Giant magnet in a compact form. The magnet wasn't flush with the bottom but I was able to push it in, but I'm not sure it will stay. One thing that got me excited was that I was hoping it would be a little deeper. Of course, that's fine with single-layer or sewing needles, but if you have ballpoint or overlapping needles, this can be a problem. The hinges are quite squeaky and rigid. But then again, I didn't expect the game to change. If you're a needleworker like me and need to change yarn colors frequently, this is a great way to to get them on stage and not let them fall. I like that I don't risk dulling the needles by using the pincushion.
