Built like a tank but with poor design features

Edit: Two stars removed. When I was using a chair and grabbed something, the chair just rolled out from under me and I landed with my face full of ground. Then it happened a second time and I don't know why. I was going to return it but my wife loved it and has been comfortable in it for a few weeks now. The same thing happened to her recently, the chair rolled out from under her and she fell to the ground. This chair is dangerous. You MUST be careful how you sit in it and not lean too far forward. My guess is that the problem is that the seat piston doesn't rise to the middle of the seat frame, it's under the seat back. This shifts the user's weight in front of the piston, causing the chair to become unbalanced. Leaning forward makes this worse and can cause the chair to roll out from under you and fall to the floor. If I still had the box I would return it. I like the all steel frame and base. The casters are also oversized and work as they should, following the movement of the chair. (I returned the chair because the wheels just dragged the floor instead of following the movement.) The 6-sided armrests are great and the material works well. The materials are of high quality and the chair looks great. Unfortunately, looks aren't everything. My biggest complaint is about the stiffness of the seat. The second place is taken by the distance between the wings on both sides of the seat. The chair is rated at 331 pounds and I weigh 230 pounds, which is well within spec. Wings make the chair too narrow to be comfortable and cause significant discomfort after sitting for some time. The stiffness of the seat only makes the problem worse. The only partial solution for me is using an orthopedic pillow, not what I expected. This makes the chair usable and lifts me up enough that the wings don't cut into my thighs nearly as much. Another minor annoyance is the lumbar support that comes with the kit. It is held in place by elastic straps that run across the top and between the backrest and the bottom of the seat. The straps only prevent the brace from falling off the chair but do nothing to keep the brace in place. The support has to be adjusted every time I lean back and forth again. The old chair I replaced after many years was more comfortable but worn out. If I hadn't thrown away the box I would seriously consider returning this chair.
