This is a great puzzle. Every Melissa and Doug product is made to the highest quality and lasts a long time. What you need to know about this puzzle is that underneath the puzzle pieces is not the same image as many wooden puzzles. For example, there are two small circles under the number 2 and no other number 2. This can make it a bit difficult for toddlers who are using their matching skills to put the puzzle together. However, it can be a good learning and thinking puzzle for kids with more advanced ability and thinking ability. My son couldn't put it together when we first received the puzzle. The lack of a match puzzled him. But now that he is 2 years old, he is better equipped with the skills to handle this task with ease.
