Works great if you know what you're buying. The way it works has limitations. It uses electric fields and is therefore inherently sensitive to them. When you work with a lot of electrics, you hear a lot of hum. It's not a defect, but that's how it is. These things should be in the description. You can't use this to listen to your favorite music at work without your boss noticing. Most of the bad reviews about it are written by people who just bought it without knowing what it really is. Also, the first time you use it, make sure you have tweezers and someone nearby, as they can go pretty deep into your ear canal. Surprisingly comfortable, even if it goes too far.
