I bought this charger for a Motorola Z2 Force that doesn't have wireless charging. For this purpose, I use a wireless Tumi-Moto mod with a battery pack. I found that on my old Tylt wireless chargers the charger would turn on and off intermittently and make a very annoying noise and I had to turn the phone on. disturb while the phone is charging. This new model has completely eliminated the problem of cycling, but cannot be used in the standing position because the phone and battery are too thick to fit. It works great in a horizontal position. If you have a phone with built-in wireless charging, this stand should work just fine in any position. And the only reason I got three stars is because I can't put my phone in it. Regardless, I'll be updating my phone soon, and when I do, this charger should work in either position.
