After doing a lot of research on mini crib mattresses on my budget I decided to give this one a try as it seemed like the perfect combination of safety, good reviews and price. The package arrived normally; However, the mattress had a permanent dent on one of the edges with a stain right down the middle as if something had fallen on it (the packaging was undamaged). This wasn't my biggest problem as I arranged a return with no issues and even ordered a replacement straight away to get rid of it. The smell was very noticeable upon opening but I figured that was because the mattress had been in bags and boxes for a long time and figured it would go away after a few hours. I walked further and my 10 month old baby slept on it. It felt nice and he seemed to like it, but he kept waking up that night. Every time I checked on him, the smell got stronger. His room is petrified by the smell! I pulled him out and his clothes smelled the same! I can't believe he's been the source of the toxic smell for so long! Find out what a crib mattress smells like and you'll change your mind about putting your baby and your home at risk. Feel free to spend a little more. I'm shocked nobody wrote about this.
