The translucent material allows the keys to show through without smudges, with the exception of the "COOSKIN" branding to the right of the space bar, which is also light gray and barely visible. Since this new one only protects the keys by skipping the original colors, the Apple key markers should stay forever and not wear off the new cover. Luckily, macOS often replaces missing letters as I type, so an accidental typo due to the keyboard cover is rarely a problem. As usual, a star is deducted for what is made abroad. EDIT: Three months later and it still looks and works like new. I see no signs of wear or premature curling. Outstanding product.
