Numerous serious quality issues

I bought this bag a few months ago and initially loved it. The skin is beautiful, the size was perfect and it was made to fit on a roller board. It seemed perfect until the shoulder strap fell off after a few weeks. The fittings were defective (the metal somehow broke) and it was impossible to fix. They sent me a new strap which was great. I fell in love with this bag all over again until a few months later when I was standing in line at the airport and heard metal falling to the ground. At first I didn't understand where that sound was coming from, but then it dawned on me. Something else must have gone wrong with my bag. I start looking around the floor and see metal bolts. I look at my bag and see that one of the metal zippers has come loose. The way this bag keeps breaking, you'd think I'm just overusing it. I can assure you that is not the case. The leather looks brand new and I've had my previous laptop bag for 6 years without a single issue (it actually still looks phenomenal, it was just bigger than I wanted). Well I contacted McKlein again about the zipper and they informed me that they could send me a new zipper head and that I could take it to my local repair shop for repair (but I have to pay for the repair as they don't repair it in his workshop). Not happy with that, but still. I'm waiting for flashes, after a couple of days I get them and go to the repair shop. Turns out they sent the wrong flash heads! After an hour of wasted time, I'm ready to give up this bag. My advice. take another bag. Something is clearly wrong with the equipment they are using. It's fragile and others will inevitably have similar issues, and while they can maintain their "lifetime warranty" by replacing defective parts, it really isn't worth the hassle.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Can be damaged
