We had a couple of stools before that we liked but they were made of wood and very hard on our butt. In addition, they took up too much space in a confined space and were dangerous for our little ones to rotate. They're slightly below ground and firmly anchored - our kids can climb on them, they don't wobble or move, and the tops are thick and soft. The best part is that I can tuck them under the counter when not in use and they don't take up space as they don't have a backing. My husband assembled them in 30 minutes. My favorite part is the comfort because I have a very bony butt lol. My son does his homework here every day since we got it and he has NEVER sat here. They're really great for kids and not too expensive if we need to replace them in the future. I am pleased that the material and padding are of high quality and have held up and not flattened out after a month like some people can. The way they are sewn with piping and patterns makes the tops a bit more whimsical.
