My leather strap is a little thick at 4mm and it was difficult to push through the retaining ring which is probably better suited to a 3.45mm thick, 17.99mm wide leather strap. Sometimes there is very little tactile feel or sound when closing the second deployment clasp, so sometimes it doesn't actually close. But that could be because my leather strap is thicker. The release buttons are a bit fiddly and sometimes dig into my wrist, the edges can be rounded where they face my wrist. it should be done. I prefer the security of the deployment clasp when putting my watch on and off so it doesn't fall off.
