Review on 🎧 Tronsmart Apollo Air+ Earbuds: Wireless Bluetooth 5.2 ANC Earbuds with Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling, aptX Adaptive Decoding, In-Ear Detection, Wireless Charging/USB-C by Elizabeth Edwards

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The sound quality leaves a lot to be desired.

I really wanted to like this. I paired them with two different phones (Samsung Galaxy S10 and iPhone 11) just to see if there is a difference, but in the end I was disappointed. The great thing about the Tronsmart Apollo Air+ headphones: - The form factor is excellent. The earbuds are fairly compact, as is the case (compared to my mid-range favourite, the Soundcore Life P2). From afar, they can be confused with Apple AirPods. And they actually fit my ears perfectly right from the start, which is very important to me. If the standard ear tips don't fit you, they come with a set of different sized ear tips. The noise cancellation is pretty decent as I could tell a difference when it was on. They pair quickly with your phone and are quick to respond when you need to pause and restart your music or toggle the ANC on or off. - They are loud! I had to turn the phone's volume down when switching between the Soundcore and Appollo Air+ headphones. Here's why you might not like these headphones: - Sound quality. It's not terrible, but it's not great. The sound is flat, with muffled highs. The base is solid, but overall the sound lacks the clarity I've come to expect from other headphones. I tried correcting the sound signature with an equalizer app but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. - The quality of the microphone. Again, it's not terrible, but it could be a lot better. The microphone sound is definitely quieter than my other headphones. I tested it with a built-in voice recorder and called another phone, in both cases the comparison was not in favor of the Appollo Air + headphones. Bottom line, these headphones are a bit underdeveloped. They have a lot going for them, but in the end, average at best sound and microphone quality is unacceptable in this price range.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
