We use it in the lamp above our new pool table. The plafonds of the lamp leave the lower part of the lamps almost at eye level. These "semi-chrome" lamps eliminate glare while still providing even illumination of the playing surface. They are referred to as "half chrome" even though the visible half of the lamp is gold colored. Exactly what we wanted.
