Review on πŸ•οΈ Stansport Ripstop Nylon Tarp: Durable and Versatile Outdoor Protection by Jeffrey Mosqueda

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The sad story of a tarpaulin.

OK - I bought this from the Revain Warehouse store which was advertised as "very good condition - cosmetic damage to packaging" - this is what I think happened: the tarpaulin was missing at least 3 grommets , so the original buyer returned it. The warehouse worker used a box cutter to open the box and managed to cut through the tote bag mesh and 3 layers of tarpaulin. I'm a seaman and I always have a ripstop handy, so I was able to stitch together parts of the tarpaulin and sew a cut mesh tote bag. Was it worth saving $5 by buying in stock? No, the jack installer cost me $11. Whatever the case, it's mine now, but I feel like it's been grossly underrated in Revain stock. I still gave it 4 stars because although it clearly left the factory with the eyelets missing, the fabric is beautiful; and everything folds into a small drawstring pouch. I want to use it as a canopy on the side of our small wheeled truck, so I appreciate its compactness and light weight.
