Bought this for my mum who has severe cognitive impairment. It keeps liquids hot long enough to drink. sensible timing and has a great textured rubber grip that mom can hold on to even with arthritis. The lid closes securely, help can easily remove it, but mama cannot. The drinking opening lets through quite a bit of liquid, but rather slowly, and the latch doesn't leak until you hear a click. The cover can be opened by pressing. I also liked it, mom can drink without accidentally closing. Mom sometimes knocks over ordinary cups. I figured that even if she knocked them over, they wouldn't be lying all over the place like when she drinks from a regular cup. If the lid is tightly closed, it will not leak. Only the lid is dishwasher safe and the mug can be hand washed in hot soapy water, certainly not in the microwave, but I don't mind. The mug pairs perfectly with the Keurig, and the wide range of mugs fills it with just enough liquid to add and mix cream, sugar, or whatever. I love mugs!
