I tried these headphones before buying them. I went into a big store and had the opportunity to test drive a few Bose, Beats, Skulls and a few other Sonys. I wasn't planning to buy anything as I already have 8 different headphones at home but. I tried them and got this wow feeling. I honestly didn't expect them to sound that good. I have some really good headphones (Senheisser 700 with DAC and headphone amp plugged into my computer) but somehow this pair from Sony just got the right sound out of the box. The reason I wasn't expecting great sound is because they're wireless and you just can't theoretically get the same sound, there's a loss in quality and that's a fact, but. I use it with my phone and while some people complain about the app, I find it crucial to the experience. After a few minutes of tuning I had my perfect sound. As I said, I've tested a few others including the most expensive Sony and a few others, but this one hit the spot for me. You might have different tastes or listen to different genres and the choice of headphones is a very subjective experience, but I'm very satisfied. They've been my number one choice since I've had them and I'm a bit disappointed with the rest of my collection right now. As for the sound: Sure, they're amazingly clear. Anyone who enjoys listening to all instruments will love them. Space, they're roomy enough to feel the separation, and the soundstage is pretty good for the price. Bass, if you like it, they have it. Comfort: very, very comfortable. They're lightweight and you might forget you're wearing them. Cushion: plastic. After an hour I start sweating. After all, you can always find good options and of course more expensive headphones, but you should try these not because they are cheaper, but because they are really good.
