I have a torn meniscus and long walks can be quite painful. I decided to use this orthosis for a multi-day hike. I also knew I needed to put ice on my knee every night, so I brought several pounds of instant ice packs. I was blown away the first night when after 8 miles with a 35lb backpack my knee felt great! I didn't even need ice. This brace is lightweight and fits well under some of my work pants and since then I've been wearing it every time my knee hurts in the morning. I've also used it for landscaping and am impressed with the amount of support, but when doing deep squats I sometimes get pinched behind the knee by two small straps. I will buy another one when this one wears out!
