I was looking for an extension cord specifically designed for outdoor use to connect string lights to our patios. Being outdoors I needed something that would stand up to the elements, especially rain, and this power strip is weatherproof and IPX4 waterproof. It has three (3) outlets that accept polarized plugs (two prong plugs) and grounding plugs (three prong plugs), and it also has three (3) USB ports for direct connection of USB cables. It comes in white so not only is it functional, it also looks very nice. It also has a six (6) foot cord so it can reach distant outlets. It's very strong and well built so it's a bit heavier compared to other outdoor extensions but I can see it will last a very long time, especially outdoors. This power strip has many safety features that give me peace of mind. Firstly, it is a shockproof device, so it is convenient for children. If children put metal into the outlet, there will be no electric shock as it will not work unless it is plugged into a regular plug, eliminating the possibility of electrocution to children. Secondly, it is splashproof and will not cause a short circuit or electric shock from water splashes. Third, it is an overload protection. The power strip will turn off automatically when the load of the connected devices exceeds the rated current. It also has arc protection and can effectively prevent the plug from sparking/sparking when plugged in. Finally, it's a fire retardant material, so it won't cause a fire. This can also be used indoors, which is beautiful and versatile.
