Usually the dongle is the dongle and the adapter is the adapter. It actually deserves extra praise. The adapter is solidly made and that is not a matter of course with these products. The USB-C connector is pretty standard, so no surprise, but the female HDMI connection was perfect and the cable connected securely. I don't have an 8k display but it was recognized immediately by my LG 4K monitor and worked seamlessly with my MacBook Pro. The display was crystal clear and I played 4K content without any problems. Great product at a great price. A hug is recommended!
