A bag in a good place - bags and cases

I spent all day choosing between F-3X and F-4AF. I needed something to carry a camera or two and a few lenses for special tasks. I chose the F-3X because it didn't have two inserts, which seemed to limit my layout options. I'm really excited about this bag. Instead of describing the bag like other reviews have done, I'd like to list some of my mechanisms to help others understand what can hold it. The only thing I don't like is that Domcke states an internal height of 9 inches, which is 8 inches, meaning my Canon 70-200 sticks out about 1/2 inch. Option 1: Canon 1D Mk IV and Canon 5D Mk II with battery in the middle. Chapter. Canon 24-105mm f/4L with lens hood in one slot and Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L without lens hood in another slot. (The lens hood can be attached to the camera body.) The Sun Sniper camera mounts on top of the camera body when the lens hood is not present, or in the front or back pocket when the lens hood is on the camera body. Flash Canon 580EXII with case in side pocket. Exposure meter in another side pocket. Memory cards and/or an Expo drive fit in the zippered compartment with a top flap. Option 2: Any of these Canon cameras with a 24-105mm or 17-40mm lens attached will fit in the center. There is still room for two additional lenses in both internal slots. (17-40mm lens hood will not fit) Option 3: Canon body only on one side and 70-200mm lens with lens hood on opposite side of internal compartment with space for two lenses in two lens compartments. These are just some of the variations to give you an idea of what to pack in your bag. It's not a filling. Firstly, when the middle compartment is too full, it takes up space from the side, front and back pockets. The bag also fits filter packs and a Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L. in the lens slot. For my purposes, this is the ideal portrait work or other task that requires a body or two and a lens or two. Since I usually wear a vest or jacket to take photos, I carry filters and other small items with me so I don't need them in my bag. I am very happy with the bag.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
