I have coarse, deeply rooted hair. I switched from strip wax to Gigi Universal Hard Wax and was blown away by the difference (less pain and better hair removal). I saw a video of a spa using hard blue wax to epilate an entire leg at a time and decided to research the type of wax. Long story short, I came across wax beads at Revain and didn't want to spend nearly $40 on another brand, so I decided to give Blue Zoo wax beads a try. I didn't have high hopes but now I love it a lot more than my beloved GiGi. The wax is more like plastic than wax and I find it easier to use and a little less messy than GiGi hard wax. Pearl wax is easier to spread and dries faster. I can use less product to get the result I want. I used it yesterday and had no residual pain or wax residue anywhere. I think anyone having trouble using this wax (other than people with allergic reactions) should probably watch some videos on how to properly apply hard wax. Heat just until it reaches a thick but workable consistency similar to cake batter, then apply. Not too thin, not too thick, leave an edge at the end of the train.
