This is the second time I have bought a hat for my son from this company and in this particular style. We started with the smallest size and are now buying a medium size for this summer. This hat fits as expected, just measure your child's head size. Do not try to buy a size larger as they are made to fit within the size range listed on the website. The quality is excellent, the colors are vibrant and the drawstring around the chin keeps it in place. Of course, my son also takes some getting used to, but when he noticed that the sun was shining in his eyes even without him, he allowed it. It has sun protection factor and protects your child's face and neck. That doesn't mean you shouldn't wear sunscreen, because when your child looks up or in certain directions, part of their face/neck will be exposed to the sun. So still wear sunscreen, but other viewers will ask you for that cute hat!
