The first thing I noticed was that the motor was loud. It was neither calm nor quiet and my son could not sleep with him. It took about a day for the jellyfish to start moving, but once they did, everything looked fine. The water gets misty after a few days because you have to use dish soap, so we had to change the water after a week. In less than 2 weeks the lamp started to turn on spontaneously, so now it needs to be unplugged and not just turned off. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. For the money you pay there are far better lights out there.
