That's a hit! - Electronic Pets

I was a bit skeptical at first, but my kids (7M and 5F) loved it! They actually asked for another one so they don't have to share it as often, so that's a pretty good indicator it's a hit. Basics: You can press the two outer buttons to hug the fairy while the bottom button feeds the fairy a snack. I didn't know there were so many fairies in a jar so we're over 50 and counting. There is a game that you can also play by controlling the little fairy icon and avoiding obstacles, but the most interesting part is looking for the fairies. and quite brilliant when playing indoors or outdoors at dusk. We have a blue lens, but the light can be any color of the rainbow, which surprised me when I first ordered it. Different fairies play a different tune, so you'll instantly understand if your fairy is repeating or unique. My seven year old prefers to try to catch rare species, while my daughter is more likely to catch those who have common interests: a cat fairy, a fairy ballerina, a mermaid, etc. I often hear a screech of joy from the other half of the house, and they will come running to show me what they've got. A special code will be released from time to time so you can enter a combination of characters and get a surprise fairy that gives that extra longevity as there's always something new to look forward to. There is an app but we don't use it very often as I have a phone. You can add your fairies to the list and see their names, interests, etc. Tip: When the QR code appears, shake your phone slightly to make sure it's receiving. I'm glad the app isn't necessary, but it's a fun little bonus. I hope their friends get this jar as a gift for the holidays so we can check out the trade aspect, but even as it is they love it!
