Thumb Velcro doesn't hold well

In general, I like the spacer. I have arthritis at the base of my thumb and the bandage does a good job of immobilizing my thumb. My previous brace covered my palm, so this one gives me more freedom. The downside is that the velcro on the thumb is sometimes loose. I read the seller's comment on another review talking about horizontal vs vertical shifting and such and I see the logic, but in the end the velcro shouldn't come loose at odd times and the product doesn't as good as him. should be. I'm thinking of sewing part of the thumb as I can slide the thumb in and out even if it's tight. Besides, it's too expensive. Should be around $10, not $19. Update: I lost mine after putting on the velcro for my thumb and I'm buying another so I must like it. Tried another cheaper version with cheap tires, sent back.
