We used this on a 2 day 1300 mile trip and it worked great for our two cats. We rotated the zips in the top corner as suggested by other reviewers so this wasn't an issue. However, on the way back, one of our cats tore the side seam of the stretcher between the mesh window and the stretcher fabric. Of course, this was in an area where we couldn't stop while the cat howled around the car. On the 2nd day we tried to seal the hole but after 5 hours it broke again. Our other much larger cat slept peacefully throughout the two day trip. We have to do the same round trip in a month and we don't know how to fix the carrier so it can be used again.
