Bought a new version for Toyota Tundra 2021 to connect to my iPhone 12. and like everyone said. I didn't follow the instructions that came with it. or any of the instructions I saw from a quick look at the comments here. The main reason is 4 stars instead of 5. The installation instructions were inaccurate. Connection method: First, I connected the device to the Tundra's USB data port. Auto-connect was already enabled for my car settings, so a screen appeared on the Tundra display with two options to connect the CarPlay adapter to my iPhone (either the phone is looking for the device, or the device is looking for your phone). However, none of the options worked as my phone couldn't find the Bluetooth network listed on the display and the adapter couldn't find the iPhone when searching for devices. I noticed that the CarPlay adapter has a USB input, so I plugged my iPhone into the adapter's USB input and for some reason the bluetooth network was found and able to connect. Finally, I unplugged my iPhone from the adapter and wireless CarPlay is now working. So far, so good! Update: iPhone sees available Bluetooth network but cannot connect. I tried the reset and the same procedure that worked before. Now I can't connect wirelessly. Maybe try the old model after one more shot.
