I love these pillowcases! I have no children, I bought them for MY neck pillows. I have decorative pillows that need to be shaped into a neck pillow every time I lie down. I can ONLY use a pillow the size and shape of these pillowcases and most neck pillows don't work for me. I had several 16 X !6 (approx) soft throw pillows that I often had to hold under my neck, so I needed a way to keep them in shape and fit. These cases are perfect! What's even better is that they are made from beautiful, durable and soft cotton and they zip up and keep the pillow inside. I also bought some open ended microfiber baby blankets. You are wrong on every count. My neck is sweating on the shiny plastic and the pillows are slipping out! I will be buying more of these soon. I just wish they didn't put two different designs on each package. I like the ones with white background and primary colors. I'm not crazy about others, but these 100 are necessary for the job, so I'll refrain from styling issues. I also have a small office. Chlorine bleach in the wash water and the colors hold up after multiple washes.
