This tub is the perfect size for home baking - if you bake most loaves of bread at home you need something that has enough batter for two loaves of bread and it works great. After kneading the dough, its volume reaches about 1.5 quintals and even triples to just 4.5 quintals around the bucket. Some recipes may call for a giant 12 liter bucket, but that's overkill; 6qts is just the right size. One small issue: the lid is solid red plastic, but the polycarbonate case is a tougher plastic with sharp edges. So if you close the lid tightly and then remove it, the edges of the container may slightly scratch the plastic lid and it could fall into the container. Be careful when removing the lid and you should be fine (when I'm proving the dough I usually just put the lid on without snapping it and that helps).
