Review on LG 27GN880 B Smart Energy Saving Ultragear Gaming Monitor | 2560x1440P | Dynamic Action Sync | Color Calibrated | HD by Darrell Webb

Good display, bad connections and support

The display itself is good. Color accuracy might need some calibration, but overall I found it ok, even with limited customization options in the on-screen interface. However, I have a big problem with my HDMI/Displayport connection. If you let the screen go to sleep, it will disconnect from the computer and if you try to wake it up, it will have to reconnect, which can take some time and mess up the layout of running applications. LG can easily fix this issue with a firmware update, but it doesn't. I have a Dell monitor that was experiencing the same issue, but I can fix it by turning off the deep sleep setting on the monitor. LG really needs to fix this issue, it's a serious flaw.

Pros
  • 27" QHD (2560 x 1440) Nano IPS display | Virtually borderless 3-sided display
Cons
  • Limited screen size options
